About the Artist
Shubhan Iyer, is a concert pianist, accompanist, and educator. He studied a Bachelor of Music at the University of Huddersfield with Sally Ann Macleod, finishing with first-class honors and as class valedictorian.
Following a competitive auditioning process, he has also received offers to study at conservatoires in the UK, including Trinity Laban and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He also won a scholarship to study at Chetham’s International Piano Summer School, studying with concert pianists such as Pete Donohoe and Tessa Nicholson.
As a pianist and recitalist, Shubhan has performed at various venues across the UK, including the Southbank Centre, Dartmouth House, Huddersfield Town Hall, St Stephen’s Walbrook, and St Lawrence Jewry.
He also has a busy season upcoming this year with a concerto performance down the road with the Unite the Union Brass Band.
A keen educator, Shubhan is now based in London, where he divides his time between teaching and concertizing, with a great passion for exploring more music in various contexts.
