About the Artist

Born in Moldova, Olga Rotari began her piano studies at the age of six. After completing seven years of music school, she continued her education at the A. Rubinstein Music College under the guidance of Dr. R. Gromova. From 2008 to 2013, she pursued her undergraduate studies at Istanbul University State Conservatory, studying with Prof. Cana Gürmen. She earned her master’s degree in piano performance in 2017 under the same professor, with a thesis titled “An Analysis of F. Liszt’s Piano Transcriptions and Paraphrases on Operas,” supervised by Assoc. Prof. Sibel Kudatgobilik. Since 2022, she has been continuing her doctoral studies at the same institution under Prof. Dr. Bahar Yücelen.

Throughout her musical journey, Olga has participated in masterclasses and collaborated with renowned musicians such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Prof. Andrey Diev, Ewa Pobłocka, Prof. Tamara Poddubnaya, Igor Tchetuev, Prof. Tomislav Baynov, Leontina Margulis, Ellen Corver, Hüseyin Sermet, Pablo Galdo, Jose Manuel Fernandez Rodriguez, Herbert Schuch, Vassilia Efstathiadou, and Prof. Dmitri Alexeev.

Having lived in Turkey for nearly 15 years, Olga Rotari has recently relocated to London to further her musical career. Her deep engagement with diverse musical cultures and disciplines has earned her several prestigious awards in international competitions. Between 2016 and 2018, she won third prizes in both the solo and chamber music categories at the International Musical Fireworks Competition in Baden-Württemberg, second prize at the Heirs of Orpheus International Competition, and first prize at the Stars at Tenerife International Competition.

Since 2008, Olga has performed extensively at cultural events and festivals across Europe. Notably, she has appeared in piano festivals in Germany and received acclaim for her 2021 concert in St. Petersburg, where she collaborated with an artist from the Mariinsky Theatre.

Olga is working on her album, featuring works by Rachmaninoff and Scriabin. She continues to perform as a soloist and chamber musician, and regularly organizes masterclasses to support and inspire young talents. Her artistic vision is shaped by a rich and versatile repertoire, which she shares with audiences worldwide.

Currently,  performances and studies at the piano reflect her life as an artist, who has experienced many cultures and shares the beauty of the world's music with her audiences.
